Sacramento’s Curtis Park neighborhood is a tree-lined neighborhood named for its namesake park — a favorite for jogging, dog walking, and picknicking. The park is one mile around and is a draw for visitors from the neighborhood and surrounding areas with its large trees and lush landscape.

The neighborhood is filled with well-maintained single family homes, most built in the 1910’s and 1920’s. The lots in Curtis Park tend to be larger than those found in Midtown and Downtown Sacramento, making this one of the faster growing areas in Sacramento.

Curtis Park is small enough to have that close-knit feel and since there are no major thoroughfares through the neighborhood it’s very quiet as well. There are few businesses in Curtis Park itself, however the neighborhood is in very close proximity to Midtown, Downtown, Land Park, and Oak Park, so a short bike ride is all it takes to hit up many of Sacramento’s best eating, drinking, and entertainment venues. Curtis Park also provides easy access to local freeways, making this neighborhood a convenient place to live for commuters and downtown workers as well.
